Is Ayahuasca safe?
At AMARA Sanctuary, your safety and emotional well-being are our top priority. Our experienced facilitators stay fully present and attentive throughout each ceremony, offering personalized care. DURING THE RETREAT
What happens during the retreat?
The retreat includes guided ceremonies, preparation sessions, integration circles, and time for rest and reflection. Each experience is approached with intention and supported in a structured environment designed to encourage presence, self-reflection, and personal insight.
The detailed schedule is shared before the retreat so participants know what to expect.
What happens if something intense comes up during the experience?
Every emotion that surfaces is part of the healing. Sometimes, the medicine brings to light what has long been hidden — not to harm, but to free.
You’ll be fully supported by our team of experienced facilitators throughout this process. We are there to help you ground, breathe, and integrate every emotion safely.
Each ceremony is guided with compassion, presence, and deep therapeutic understanding. Nothing you feel will ever be “too much” — it’s simply what is ready to be released.
What if I don’t feel anything during a ceremony?
Not at all. The medicine works in ways beyond the visible or the visionary. Sometimes, its wisdom unfolds quietly — days, or even weeks after the retreat.
This journey is not about seeking visions, but about opening inner doors. Healing often begins in silence, as subtle shifts in perception, emotions, or relationships. Trust that what you needed was received — and that integration will reveal its meaning in divine timing.
I struggle to quiet my mind. Can I still participate?
The retreat is designed to help you soften and prepare before each ceremony. We begin with Rapé rituals to clear the mind and ground your energy, followed by meditation, breathwork, and sound healing to bring you into a calm and receptive state.
You don’t need to silence your mind — only to breathe, listen, and allow. The program itself guides you into presence, so connection happens naturally, without force or expectation.
What is the group size?
Groups are intentionally small (typically 6–8 participants) to create a supportive and personal environment where each participant can feel comfortable and supported.
What languages are spoken during the retreat?
English is the main language used during the retreat.
What is included in the retreat, and what is not?
Included in your experience are guided ceremonies with selected plant medicines such as Ayahuasca, Psilocybin, Wachuma (San Pedro), Bufo (5-MeO-DMT), Rapé, and ceremonial Cacao, depending on the specific retreat program.
The retreat also includes preparation guidance, therapeutic integration circles, and supportive practices designed to create a structured and meaningful experience. Some retreats may additionally include bodywork sessions, sound journeys, or other complementary practices that support relaxation and reflection.
Participants also receive access to our online support space before and after the retreat, allowing connection with the group and continued integration.
Flights and transportation to the retreat location are not included. However, we create a WhatsApp group to help participants coordinate shared rides and travel arrangements with ease.
Detailed information about what is included is provided for each specific retreat.
AFTER THE RETREAT
What happens after the retreat?
The real journey begins after the retreat — when the insights and emotions find their place in daily life.
After the retreat, participants are encouraged to take time to reflect and gently integrate their experience into daily life. Insights often continue to unfold over time, and many people find it helpful to create space for rest, reflection, and supportive practices.
Integration is considered an important part of the overall experience.
Is integration support available after the retreat?
Participants receive guidance on integration practices that can help support the process after returning home. This may include reflection practices, journaling, meditation, or other supportive tools.
To support this process, we offer an online integration group where participants can share, reflect, and stay connected. After three weeks, we host a collective integration meeting to help you ground your experiences with clarity and awareness.
You may also book individual integration sessions with our holistic specialist if you wish to continue your healing journey after the retreat. Integration is where wisdom becomes transformation — and we walk with you every step of the way.
Each ceremony is guided with compassion, presence, and deep therapeutic understanding. Nothing you feel will ever be “too much” — it’s simply what is ready to be released.
How long does integration take?
Integration is a personal process that can unfold over time. Some insights may feel immediate, while others deepen gradually in the weeks or months after the retreat.
Each experience is unique.
Will I receive guidance after the retreat?
Participants receive recommendations and supportive resources that can help bring insights into everyday life in a grounded and practical way.
